A 22-year-old Juventus midfielder who had a baby daughter has died in an accident, his wife has said.
Mario Lemina, the son of Juventus midfielder and coach Francesco Lemina and sister of Juventus coach Maurizio, passed away on Saturday after suffering cardiac arrest, Andrea Lemina said in a statement on Sunday.
“I would like to express my deep condolences to Mario’s family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time,” she said.
“He was a man of tremendous talent and will be missed.
We all hope he will return soon.”
Mario Leminin has played for Juventus, Inter and Juventus in Serie A. He also spent time on loan at the Nerazzurri.
